It’s so nice to do something completely different even if only occasionally. After all, spending too much time working can upset your work life balance. With that in mind what could I do that was completely different? Well, my wife and I purchased tickets for the Hairy Bikers: Larger Than Live Tour at Milton Keynes theatre …
Well, to say the least, what a great evening of fun! Of course there was a certain amount of scripting, but when Si forgot that it was his turn and Dave decided to do both parts, you knew it was going to be fun. Along with the on-stage cooking of healthy meals, which filled the theatre with fantastic aromas, where else do you expect to see Strip Lucky Dip? At the end of which stands two hairy bikers in nothing more than their helmets. My sides were aching from laughter!
Maybe I should arrange to do something different every month? I mean from afternoon tea at The Dorchester in January to the Hairy Bikers at MK Theatre in February. I wonder what I can do for March? Any Suggestions?
March is running out, so I need to come up with something fast! There is one downside at the moment – I’m working most weekends with out of hours service at no additional cost to the client. The other problem is this: what on earth can you do when the weather is so changeable? I mean, one day the sun is shining, 12 hours later the snow is falling again! Welcome to Spring in Britain.I know people always say that you should get the work life balance correct, but it is difficult when you run your own business. I have a business friend who takes time out during the day to just chill at the local Costa Coffee with a latte and a good book. Maybe I should do the same? I’ve even got my Costa Membership Card!
And don’t forget to test your smoke alarm! You never know when it may save your life! FTS Safety Solutions offer a professional health and safety testing service with out of hours testing at no additional cost. Until next time …
