Little short of four weeks ago, I was going into hospital for major surgery. My past couple of blog post have explained it was a bit of a difficult situation but nothing really prepares you for how difficult it can actually be …
A Total Lack Of Concentration
I have made light of the fact that, as a business owner, I needed to ensure my business was still ticking over. My problem was that there is nothing you can do in hospital without a good WiFi connection and access to the cloud. That was, of course, if I had the actual energy to do anything in the first place!
Well, now I’m finally home and I thought it was going to be easy to carry on with my work. Working from home meant I would be able to do admin and marketing tasks, but knew I wouldn’t be able to go out PAT Testing.
What I wasn’t ready for was finding out that doing the simplest of things would take an absolute age! Quotations normally take me minutes, but at the moment, my concentration levels are so poor, it can take me a couple of hours to get one finished.
It doesn’t help that I’m attached to a negative pressure wound therapy machine which is aiding the healing of my wound. I have to be extra careful about not dislodging it!
Until next time …But you know me … I’ll hang in there, do what I can, when I can and let my body heal. I very much look forward to the day I can get back out there PAT Testing again! So I guess I’m not healed yet and I really have to take it easy for the time being. I get tired very quickly and really thought I could do more. But I guess not and it’s going to be a longer road to recovery than I thought.
